Michael A. Bucciero

Michael Bucciero possesses an extensive background in government relations, both in the private and public sectors. His wealth of experience has forged him into an effective government affairs professional with a proven track record of success. He excels in strategically advising or advocating on behalf of clients before legislators and government officials in the key policy areas of energy, finance, housing, technology, transportation and trade.
Mr. Bucciero’s unique government relations skill set is derived from his previous experience as a liaison of a federal agency to state and local governments and, conversely, representing the interests of various corporations as well as state and local entities before the federal government.
Prior to joining KSCW, Mr. Bucciero had a lengthy career in government service. At the state level, he served as a Washington Representative for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as well as the New York – New Jersey Port Authority. Aside from representing the Port Authority in Washington, D.C., he held several other executive positions there including: Director, Task Force on International Trade; and rose to the level of Deputy Director in charge of International Trade Programs including the overseas offices in London, Zurich and Tokyo.
At the federal level, Mr. Bucciero served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where he was a member of the Secretary’s Policy Steering Group and acted as the principal liaison to state and local officials. Prior to his tenure at HUD, Mr. Bucciero served as a Special Assistant in the U.S. Department of Commerce, focusing on regional economic development.
While in the private sector, Mr. Bucciero was the Managing Director of the Atlanta Perishables and Equine Center, Inc., where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of a perishable and equine cargo complex at Atlanta Airport. Previous to this position, Mr. Bucciero was the CEO of U.S. Perishables, Inc., a company that developed and operated a perishable cargo complex at JFK Airport in New York.
Mr. Bucciero attended Boston College and is a graduate of Merrimack College. He also holds a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree from Pennsylvania State University.
